Documents relating to the history of Corrymeela.

At an April Community weekend in the noughties we gathered round the sculpture 'I am the Vine - you are branches' located at the turning circle in front of the Main House, Corrymeela. This document is an extract from what Kathleen Davey said about the sculpture at the time.

Early considerations of a Community written by the Community Action Group in February 1963.

 

This document gives a little insight into an early conference at Corrymeela in 1968. It was supplied by Ken Irvine, a founder member of Corrymeela, Treasurer of the Community, lawyer and heavily involved in the arts sector.

From time to time in the life of Corrymeela there has been discussion about the need for a larger covered space suitable for larger meetings and for recreation, particularly in the winter and any bad weather. This document details some pricing of a possible Recreation Centre.
