Welcome!

Welcome to the Corrymeela Community Document Site.  The intention is to publish papers, previously published print items and magazines on this site.  Many of these documents will be available to all site visitors but some documents will require the visitor to log in.  Initially log in credentials will be made available only to members of the Corrymeela Community. Anyway, the vast majority of the content is public so log in is not required.

We are delighted to announce that a partnership has been agreed with the Linen Hall library to house and host the Corrymeela Community archive. We believe that this partnership will not only secure the historical archive but also allow a vast range of Corrymeela learning, practice, and knowledge to be shared worldwide.

Preliminary work has identified an almost complete series of Corrymeela Community Bulletins, News and Magazines (1965-2020) to be our first deposit to the library and interestingly they can complete the series from their current archive. This collection is an amazing record of our journey as a community and in the field of peace and reconciliation over the last almost 60 years. Community member Richard Naylor has updated the software on our own website to make the documents section https://corrydocs.028ni.org.uk/index.php/documents, more accessible. The aim is that many of the important historical documents will be scanned and shared via this partnership.

The Linen Hall Library Chief Librarian will be with us for the April Community weekend to promote and support us in developing this resource. We will soon be able to support individual members who hold their own archival materials to also deposit them at the Linen Hall Library.

Watch this space, it’s a marathon, not a sprint, but we have made a very promising start.
